    The NEP offers a two-day Job Preparation Program to everyone who is interested and aged from 18 to 35 years. The aim of the program is to equip job seekers with information and exercises to successfully obtain and start a job in the formal sector. The program covers topics such as information on the Egyptian labor market, rights and responsibilities as an employee and advice for the job interview

    The NEP’s matchmaking services supports you to find a suitable and fair employment in the blue collar sector free of charge. You will be interviewed by one of our certified employment officers who will match your qualifications and preferences with over 70,000 vacancies on the NEP database. You will then be nominated for employment opportunities that best suit your profile and job interviews will be arranged for you.

    The NEP reaches out to you through different employment events in your neighborhood and in cooperation with different partners. The employment fairs will give you the opportunity to receive information, register your profile and conduct job interviews with suitable employers on the spot and without arranging appointments.     Since its inception in 2011, the National Employment Pact (NEP) has been developing its matchmaking methodology to ensure optimum placement of job seekers in fair blue-collar work opportunities. In order to enhance this process, the NEP organizes different employment events and developed a new model of mini-fairs tailored for the specifications and requirements of individual companies.
    Employment Fairs: The NEP developed a new model for employment fairs dedicated entirely to blue-collar job seekers where companies have the opportunity to conduct full first interviews during the employment fair.
    Employment Days: A one day employment fair that aims to extend the reaching arm of companies to job seekers in the outskirts of Greater Cairo.
    Mini-fairs: Effective and efficient smaller versions of our employment fairs take place at the employment centers to provide participating companies with the opportunity of interviewing a large pool of job seekers within a few hours only.
    Tailored employment events: The NEP also offers an events-planning service, wherein it organizes tailored employment fairs for requesting companies. This service allows companies to interview the largest number possible of job seekers interested in working for their entity in one day.

    This is a highly practice-oriented, certified course for HR professionals, private HR officers and staff working in the employment sector. It is a thorough yet accelerated 21-day training covering five modules:
    Labour Market, Employer and Employee
    Staff Recruitment, Appraisal, Selection and Professional Accompaniment/Coaching
    Legal Basis for Employment Officers
    The Employment Officer as Coach
    The Employment Officer as Consultant
    The programme includes an examination and an international HR certificate of the German Chamber for Industry and Commerce in Frankfurt/Oder upon passing the 2-day examination.

Expanding the services and increasing our impact is one of NEP’s strategic goals. The NEP aims to extend its employment services to underserved governorates across Egypt. We believe that every additional employment center gives opportunities for more youth and further improves the social and economic welfare of the Egyptian society. Through governmental, non-governmental and business organizations across the country, the NEP transfers its know-how and enables other stakeholders to provide professional matchmaking and placement services to their communities.

SOCIA Employment Center

The Sixth of October City Investors’ Association (SOCIA) is a non-governmental business association representing 700 investors in Sixth of October City – Egypt’s largest industrial zone with more than 1,300 operating factories.

The SOCIA Employment Center is located at 7th District- 6 of October and started its operations in January 2016 with 4 employment center staff. The new Employment Center has registered over 500 jobseekers and placed over 200 jobseekers in its first 9 months of operation.

All Employment Center staff have been trained and coached by the NEP through a standardized theoretical, practical and on-the-job training program. All activities follow the NEP Decent Work criteria as well as the NEP Standard Operating Procedures. The Employment Center also capitalizes from access to the NEP matchmaking software as well as from the unique NEP employment fair methodology.
